Runners Who Live in Snohomish Do the Pie High Trail Run

People who live in Snohomish do the Pie High Trail Run.Do you love pie, trail running, and live in Snohomish or the surrounding area? If your answers to those questions are yes, the Pie High Trail Run is the event for you. Choose from a 5k, 10k, or half marathon on Saturday, July 23rd 2016. The courses are set at Lord Hill Regional Park, and participants can enjoy beautiful scenery complete with mossy forests, quiet ponds, rushing creeks, and wetland preserves filled with the sounds of birds. Run along an old logging road, hiking paths, and picturesque bridges. The course is moderately hilly by trail running standards, is very diverse, and sure to keep runners actively engaged with their surroundings. Feel proud of your accomplishment at the end of the race and enjoy a slice of pie.

Live in Snohomish and Celebrate Pie

Extras at this event include the King and Queen of the Hill and a pie eating contest. The first male and female participants to reach the top of Lord Hill after the start of the race will receive a pie and, of course, notoriety. Regain the calories lost in running by participating in the pie eating contest after the race. Raffle tickets will be sold for $2 to participate in the contest. There will be 6 spots available and the winner will get a trophy and free race entry. Get in on the raffle when registering online, or buy tickets on the event day. Online registration is open through July 21st, but runners can enter the race the day of for a higher price. Enjoy Children’s Programs Near Your Lake Stevens Home at the Library

Lake Stevens home owners love their library.The Lake Stevens Library does a great job in providing quality programming over the summer months for children who call Lake Stevens home. The events calendar is full of fun and engaging activities, which is great in combination with coming into the library to choose some new books to take home. Two events that are coming up for school aged children in the Explore Summer program are Give a Hoot About Owls and Poetry in Motion. The owl program will take place on Wednesday, July 20th from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Mechelle VanHoudt will engage all children with facts and myths about these fascinating birds. Children can learn about how owls who live near their Lake Stevens home hunt and can spot their next meal from amazing distances. The little scientists can even dissect their own owl pellet.

Learn About Owls and Play with Words at the Lake Stevens Home Library

The following Wednesday, July 27th, 2016, all school aged children are invited to come back to the library to explore the wonders of words. Words move and influence people everyday and they can be great fun to experiment with. Those in attendance will be able to play games with words, create a puzzle and action poem, and dance with words. Enjoy Live Shakespeare on Monroe Real Estate

See Shakespeare on Monroe real estate.Last Leaf Productions brings theater productions to the entire region, including Monroe real estate owners and their families. Every summer, this company puts on Shakespeare in the Park and performs two productions at outdoor venues all over the state. They also travel to many of the public libraries to allow children the opportunity to experience theater at a young age and get excited about the theater arts. Schools and other community organizations also reach out to Last Leaf to come perform at their venues.

Monroe Real Estate Owners See Shakespeare in the Park

The company is taking on two Shakespeare productions this summer, Henry IV and Love’s Labor’s Lost. They have performances scheduled in parks in Seattle, Lake Stevens, Woodinville, and Bellevue. In addition to these locations, their hometown of Monroe is lucky to have them around to perform Love’s Labor’s Lost on Sunday, July 17th, 2016 at 5 p.m. The performance will take place on the lawn at Wagner Performing Arts Center. Monroe real estate owners and all guests are invited to step inside the building to check out the remodel that is being done. Event organizers also hope to have food trucks on site to provide food choices to all who are in attendance. Snohomish Home Owners Celebrate Their City at Kla Ha Ya Days

Go to the festival near your Snohomish home.All who call Snohomish home are invited to the Kla Ha Ya Days Festival, an event to welcome people from all over the Northwest to celebrate the beauty and goodwill of Snohomish. There is much to see and do over the duration of the festival and all proceeds go toward local programs that provide enriching services to the youth and families of Snohomish. The festival runs from July 9th through the 17th and offers a full schedule of fun. The festival kicks off with a celebrity volleyball tournament, Barbershop Beach Show Party, a carnival, and a farmers market.

The main days of the festival where the schedule really fills up are Saturday, July 16th and Sunday, July 17th. There are events all day all over town. Celebrate New Lake Stevens Property for Chamber of Commerce

Celebrate on Lake Stevens property.Local businesses get a supportive boost from the Lake Stevens Chamber of Commerce. The chamber works to promote businesses working on commercial Lake Stevens property. In addition to maintaining a website with information on all its members, the chamber holds frequent events. Each month have a membership luncheon scheduled. The lunch also has a scheduled speaker from the local business community. Business owners get together for occasional mixers, with snacks, door prizes, and networking. An annual business expo is another way that the chamber supports businesses and brings awareness to the local community. The chamber also sponsors the annual C-Trail Run. The course is on the lovely Centennial Trail. Proceeds go to leadership programs in local schools.

Tour the Lake Stevens Property and Enjoy a Barbecue Lunch

On Monday, July 11th, the chamber of commerce will celebrate the grand opening of its new Lake Stevens property location. The whole community is invited to 10020 Lundeen Parkway for the ribbing cutting ceremony and dedication by Nancy Mitchell at 11:30 a.m. A barbecue luncheon will follow at noon. Learn About Arabian Horses Near Your Monroe Home

See Arabian horses near your Monroe home.The Region 5 Arabian Horse Association invites all horse enthusiasts who call Monroe home to come watch the Region 5 Championship Show and participate in the Total Arabian Interaction and Learning Program (T.A.I.L.). The Championship Show will take place on Thursday, July 7, Friday, July 8, and Saturday, July 9 at noon at the Evergreen State Fair Grounds. Both the Championship Show and the T.A.I.L program are free to the public. Children and adults are invited to come learn more about the Arabian breed from knowledgeable volunteers at sessions available at 8 a.m., 1 p.m., and 7 p.m. each day. Families, youth groups, Boy/Girl Scouts, and 4H Clubs are encouraged to make a reservation to ensure a spot in the tour.

Monroe Home Owners Can Schedule a Tour

Find the beginning of the tour at the the Equestrian Park Entrance, right across from the information booth. A T.A.I.L guide will meet all groups and give participants a bag filled with coloring sheets, parts of the horse sheets, and general information about Arabian horses. Those on the tour will be able to watch the show, go behind the scenes in the barns, and also be able to get up close to a few beautiful Arabian horses. Live in Lake Stevens and Celebrate the 4th with a Fun Run

Live in Lake Stevens and celebrate July 4th.Residents who live in Lake Stevens can celebrate the Fourth of July with an invigorating morning run with the annual Yankee Doodle Dash. Conveniently located at the Everett YMCA, the Dash is perfect for any level of athlete. Beginning at 8:30 a.m., a mile, 5k, 10k, and children’s race are scheduled. With a flat course competitors can expect to run their fastest times. Prizes and awards will be presented. The Kiddie Doodle Dash begins around 10:30 and is designed for the youngest of Lake Stevens residents and those residing in the surrounding areas. Following the activities will be the City of Everett’s Fourth of July parade allowing participants to continue in the celebration of the holiday. Wear red, white and blue proudly and cheer from the sidelines as the community wishes America a Happy Birthday. Marking its 17th year, the 2016 Yankee Doodle Dash benefits the YMCA Livestrong program. The Livestrong mission is to assist cancer survivors in restarting their lives and regaining their confidence.

Lake Stevens Residents Enjoy Independence Day Parade

Runners who live in Lake Stevens or nearby may register online before July 2nd as well as view course maps for the 5K and 10K. Discounted registration fees are available for groups of 10 or more so grab the gang and make this an annual Fourth of July event. Don’t forget an ample supply of water and sunscreen, and get ready to do the Yankee Doodle Dash!
