Hear the Best Blues on Downtown Snohomish Real Estate

Snohomish real estate owners hear the blues.All who own Snohomish real estate are invited to come enjoy the rhythm and talent at the Snohomish Taste of Music. This annual event will take place Friday through Sunday, August 19th through 21, 2016 at the Carnegie Education Center outdoor plaza located at 105 Cedar Avenue in downtown Snohomish. For just $10 per day or $25 for all three days, blues enthusiasts can hear some amazing musicians. Those attending on Sunday will even get to hear the Washington Blues Society International Blues Challenge. Feel good about supporting local Snohomish real estate, as proceeds go toward the revitalization of downtown Snohomish.

Snohomish Real Estate Owners Love the Blues

The artists performing on Friday night, starting at 7 p.m., are Naughty Blokes, a British rock and blues band from Bellingham, and Mojo Cannon, a cover band with a large horn sound. Come down on Saturday to hear music starting at 12 p.m. with Kenova, then C.C. Adams Band, Polly O’Keary, Sammy Eubanks, and Left Hand Smoke ending the night at 7:30 p.m. The schedule on Sunday begins at 1 p.m. and will feature the WBS International Blues Challenge. Performers, in no particular order, are Altai, Bobby Patterson Band, Brett Benton, CD Woodbury Trio, Cee Cee James & the Mission of Soul, The Charlatones, Mark Riley, Naughty Blokes, Polly O’KEary & the Rhythm Band, Rafael Tranquilino Band, and Stanislove. Live in Lake Stevens and go to the sale.Join others who live in Lake Stevens to seek treasure at the Lake Stevens Lions Club’s annual Community Sale. This event will take place on Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the County Market parking lot. Come shop for yourself, friends, or family, or considering renting a booth to peddle your own wares. The cost to rent a 10x10 booth space is $35 plus a $35 refundable cleaning deposit. The sale will include arts and crafts, collectibles, antiques, items you would find at a garage sale, and all sorts of other treasures. This is a fun event that brings the community together. You’re sure to find some great things to take back to your Lake Stevens home.

All booth fees go to support the Lake Stevens Lions Club, which does a great deal for all who live in Lake Stevens. The Lions Club will also have a fundraising booth. Members enhance their lives and those of local residents by participating in hands-on projects and grants that help the community. Monroe Property Owners Learn and Have Fun at the Library

Meet owls on Monroe property.Families who live on Monroe property grow and learn together at the Monroe Library. With a variety of programs which encourage growth and a love of literature, the Sno-Isle libraries strive to bring the community together through educational programs.

Teen and tweens are invited to head to the library on Thursday, August 4th at 2 p.m. Each participant will get a kit for Makey Makey Video Games. Construct a controller from ordinary household objects and pieces in the kit. When you’re done, you can play Tetris and other other games with your quirky controller.

Meet s and Make Video Game Controllers at Public Monroe Property

School aged kids can come in on Tuesday, August 9th at 2 p.m. for a special program. Owls are fascinating creatures, and they have inspired a lot of myths and stories. Come find out the facts of the life and habits of owls. Kids will even get to dissect an owl pellet.

Lake Stevens Real Estate Owners Learn to Row

Learn rowing on Lake Stevens real estate.Get out onto the water near Lake Stevens homes. Offering beginning rowing classes, The Lake Stevens Rowing Club makes it easy for Lake Stevens real estate residents to pick up a new sport. Learn To Row instruction teaches the basics of rowing first from dry land and then from the water. Experts will coach novices in mechanics and the motion of body sequencing in the lake. By the end of the course, students will be able to successfully communicate with their counterparts and feel comfortable with their boat handling.

For those not sure if this is the sport for them, the club offers a two hour basics “Try Rowing” class for free. Here instructors will run through the steps and attendees will spend time on a high quality simulation rowing machine.

Explore Lake Stevens Real Estate on the Lake

Classes take place on Saturdays and Sundays from 7 to 9 a.m. The next session begins on August 6th and runs until August 28th. Participation includes a three-month complimentary membership to the Lake Stevens Rowing Club.

Enrollment can be completed online or by calling 888.769-5772. Students must be 13 years or older to participate. The Lake Stevens Rowing Club designed their beginning classes to encourage a love of the sport of rowing whether it be purely for pleasure on the water or for competitive nature. Live in Monroe and Attend Lake Tye Triathlon

Live in Monroe and go to the triathlon.All who live in Monroe are invited to participate in or come watch the 7th Annual Lake Tye Triathlon. This event will take place on August 6th, 2016 and will include races in the Sprint, Olympic, and youth categories. A friendly collegiate challenge will take place as well. All participants need to be a member of the USAT, or will need to pay an additional $15 for a one day license to participate. The swimming portion will start on the beach of Lake Tye at 8 a.m. on race day. The adults will race first, and the youth will take their turn second. This is a great course for all racers, from beginners to seasoned veterans. It is also very spectator friendly, so come on out to cheer on all of these amazing athletes.

People of All Ages Who Live in Monroe Will Compete

The entry fee includes a yummy pancake breakfast following the race, swim cap, chip timing, a goody bag, and finisher medal. There will be awards for the top three finishers in each age group. The distances for the sprint event are a ¼ mile swim, 14 mile bike ride, and 3.1 mile run. Participants in the Olympic race will swim 1500 m, bike 28 miles, and run 6.2 miles. The youth distances will vary depending on age and participants ages 6-15 are welcome. All participants must register by 12 p.m. on August 5th. Even if competing in a triathlon is not your thing, all who live in Monroe are invited to come marvel at the level of athleticism and cheer for the racers. Snohomish Property Owners Ride to Defeat ALS

Ride on Snohomish property.Snohomish property owners have an exciting opportunity to help fight ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease). The 16th annual Ride to Defeat ALS will be held on Saturday, July 30th. Register as an individual or as a team. Kids 12 and younger are welcome to ride along with a registered adult. The entry fee is $75, and all participants are asked to raise at least $150. Not only does the ride raise money for research to cure ALS, it also spreads the word, so more people can get involved. Even if you can’t participate in the ride, you can donate online and encourage friends and family to do the same.

Enjoy Beautiful Snohomish Property on Centennial Trail

The ride begins at the Snohomish Senior Center, a Snohomish property located at 506 4th Street. The route takes riders along the Centennial Trail. Choose from three out-and-back routes: 22.8 miles to Lake Cassidy; 48.6 miles to Arlington; and 64.2 miles to Nakashima Farm. There are rest stops along the way, bike mechanics, and plenty of support. At the end of the ride, get ready to party! Live music will be playing, and you’ll be able to recharge with some great food.
