The Cabbage Patch Restaurant Is a Snohomish Home Town Favorite

There are two rooms available for an event at the restaurant. The Garden Room has large windows that look on a lovely garden and seats up to 25 guests. The Cabbage Patch Restaurant is located at 111 Avenue A, close to any Snohomish home. Operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on the weekends. Breakfast is served until 3 p.m. everyday and includes such selections as corned beef hash, a large variety of omelets and scrambles, pancakes, waffles, and much more. The lunch menu is served all day and all night. Tasty soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, macaroni and cheese, salmon, stroganoff, and chicken pot pie are available.

Bring the whole family for dinner or come with friends or for a date night. Start off with a salad or appetizer such as coconut prawns, Asian lettuce wraps, hot artichoke, spinach, and cheese spread, or oyster shooters. The dinner menu includes prime rib, steak, seafood, meatloaf, chicken, and pasta. End your meal with a scrumptious dessert made with real cream and butter each day. Have Fun Living in Monroe and Go to Evergreen State Fair

Everyone living in Monroe goes to the state fair.The Evergreen State Fair offers a wonderful time to those living in Monroe and the surrounding areas every year. This year, the fair will take place from August 23rd through September 3rd. There is so much to do at the fair and families make lasting memories together. Every day of the fair has a theme and there are several special admission days where people can get in for great discounts. Fair hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. everyday except for the last day when the fair closes at 7 p.m. The carnival hours are from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. also except for the last day when it closes at 7 p.m. Purchase Unlimited Ride Wristbands online by August 22nd for only $30.

Those living in Monroe and the surrounding area are invited to enter exhibits into the fair. Children in 4-H are always proud of their entries as well as those who participate in the Evergreen Youth Livestock Show. Children and adults can enter items into one of the Open Class Competitions. Help Bring More Kindness to Snohomish Homes at the Kind Fest

Bring kindness to Snohomish homes.The Kind Fest is coming to the area near Snohomish homes with a mission to spread kindness. This festival will take place on Saturday, August 18th, 2018 and feature more than 75 organizations, businesses, musicians, artists, and others who would like to promote kindness. Come on out to Willis Tucker Park in Snohomish from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to take part in the festivities. Bring the whole family, there will be plenty to do for everyone.

Many speakers will be sharing how to spread kindness at the festival. Here are the details:

10:00 a.m. on the Amphitheater Stage, Erin Merrihew will talk about Being Compassion.

10:30 a.m. in the Kindless Pavilion, Shannon Williamson will speak on Kind Homes.

12:00 p.m. on the Amphitheater Stage, Yasmin Nguyen will present on The Gift of Joy.

12:20 p.m. in the Kindness Pavilion, Jacob Smith will enlighten guests of the Ideals of Love.

1:30 p.m. in the Kindness Pavilion, Alexa Johnson will talk of how to be United Through Energy.

2:30 p.m. on the Amphitheater State, Cait Pearson will speak about Cultivating Kindness.

3:00 p.m. in the Kindness Pavilion, Rod Brooks will introduce those in attendance to The Grandpa Project.

In addition to the speakers, there will be yoga, live music from Bug Hunter, Perfect by Tomorrow, and Hillside Divide, and a live dance performance from Kit Spins. There will also be storytime and a dance demo for the kids as well as a labyrinth walk and chalk art. Guests are invited to visit the Art Vendor Market to support local artists and grab something nice to put on the wall of their Snohomish homes. Stop by the nonprofit and local business booths to learn more about them and experience kindness and fill your belly with something to eat from a food truck. Lake Stevens Real Estate Owners Get into Stand Up Paddleboarding with Hydrology

Lake Stevens real estate owners go paddleboarding.One of the best things about owning Lake Stevens real estate is the lake. It’s easy to go fishing, swimming, and canoeing. One of the newest and most popular water sports is stand up paddleboarding. There’s a lot of discipline that goes into successful paddleboarding. You need good balance, both upper body and leg strength, and a sense of fun. In order to feel confident on the board, it’s a good idea to take an introductory class. This will give you an overview of how all the gear works, how to stay safe, and some basic techniques for paddling. Hydrology Stand Up Paddle offers affordable lessons and classes to people living in the greater Lake Stevens real estate area.

Lundeen Park is the location for Hydrology’s Lake Stevens lessons. A basic lesson lasts for one hour and is $55 per person. Grab at least two friends to take the class with you, and the price drops to $30. All necessary gear is included in the lesson price. You’ll get to practice using the gear safely, and the instructor will give you pointers in technique. The lesson finishes up with a paddleboard tour of the lake. Family lessons are also available. For these, kids under five are counted as passengers and get to tag along for free. Once you have the basics down, sign up for one of the cool classes offered by Hydrology. There are youth classes, SUP pilates, SUP yoga, hike and SUP, and many more. Most classes cost around $30 per person.

If you have the basics down and just want to rent a board for a couple of hours, Hydrology is the place to go. Gear rentals are $20 an hour and include the board, paddle, leash, and personal floatation device. You’ll also get basic instructions for use. Rent a wetsuit and booties for another $10 per hour. You can also purchase your own gear from Hydrology.

Explore Downtown Snohomish Properties at the Taste of Music Festival

Have fun on historic Snohomish properties at the music festival.Get ready for old town Snohomish properties to be rocking during the 11th annual Snohomish Taste of Music Festival. This three day event will take place Friday, August 17th through Sunday, August 19th, 2018 at the Carnegie Center outdoor plaza. This venue is located at 105 Cedar Avenue in Snohomish. Tickets are on sale now. Buy a pass for one day for $10 or purchase a 3-day pass for $25. Here is the anticipated line-up.

Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. Fonzarell (a rock band from Seattle) and George will be playing.

Saturday from noon to 10 p.m. The Folsoms (a classic country/folk rock band), The School of Rock Seattle All Star House Band, Green River Revivalists (a band that features good ol’ fashioned “swamp rock”), VDG ( a heavy Pacific Northwest rock band), The Staxx Brothers (a rock band with a love of producing music videos), and the Joe Slick Band will be playing.

Sunday will be a true treat and be host to the Washington Finals of the International Blues Competition from noon to 8 p.m. Local blues competitions have been taking place across the state since the end of May. This is event will feature the best of the best of blues bands in Washington.

There are opportunities to hear a wide variety of genres of music. Who knows, maybe you will even find a new favorite band that you and your friends will rock out to in your Snohomish properties. While enjoying the music, there will be opportunities to satisfy your thirst and appetite by purchasing food, wine, and beer.

This event will take place August 10th through 12th at the Sky Valley Stock and Antique Tractor Club located at 19524 Tualco Loop Road in Monroe. Come for just a few hours or stay all day to take everything in. The schedule is jam packed with events and attractions with something for every age and interest. Start out your day with a tasty breakfast, which will be available from 8 to 10 a.m. Other scheduled events include a Lawn Tractor Pull, Parade of Tractors, Barrel Race, Kids Shoe Scramble, Farm Tractor Pull, and much more. The show closes at 5 p.m.
