Everyone from Monroe homes is invited to the Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 6th. The fun begins at 10 a.m. and goes until 3 p.m. Head to Lake Tye Park for a day of community and great activities. Admission is free! Start decorating for Halloween by choosing a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. Then take it over to the professional pumpkin carver. Watch as your pumpkin is transformed into a work of art! Kids will really have a blast. They can get their faces painted as their favorite animals, superheroes, or story characters. They will also be able to bring home balloon animals. Lake Tye Park is a fun place to go in its own right. There are picnic tables for eating, a great playground, and a skate park. Come back another day or stay for the afternoon and play soccer or a game of tennis. 

October is a great month to head to the library for Lake Stevens real estate owners. Everyone in the house will find something fun to do. Every Tuesday at 10 a.m., it’s baby storytime. Everyone is welcome, especially babies from newborns to 18-month-olds are welcome to storytime. There will be wiggling, giggling, and lots of rhymes and songs. Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. are the best time for toddlers up to age three to hear stories, sing songs, and play games or do crafts. It will be held Saturday, the 22nd, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Anyone who feels the need for speed with a little bit of crashing and chaos can find it close to their Monroe home on Saturday, October 1st at Evergreen Speedway. Octoberfast-Krashfest, presented by Dodge of Monroe, will take place from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. Come a little early to spend some extra time at the venue, as the gates open at 4 p.m. Feel the thrill of the vehicles zooming at top speeds and enjoy Super Stock Figure 8, Stinger 8, and V8 Extremes. Also be wowed by the boat races, trailer races, and even bus races. Finish off the exciting night with some beautiful fireworks. Tickets are available for $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, $10 for youth ages 6-15, and children under 5 and military personnel can get in for free.

Enjoy Car Racing October Fun Near Your Monroe Home

The Evergreen Speedway offers exciting events to those who call Monroe home throughout the year. It is, of course, very busy during the Evergreen State Fair, but also has a busy schedule outside of those dates. Home to the NASCAR Whelen All American Series, the K&N Pro Series West, and Formula Drift, this unique track offers several different sized paved ovals, a dragstrip, a figure 8 course, and a road course. Kids living on Lake Stevens property have a couple of opportunities to get involved in sports this fall. Starting Sunday, October 2nd, kids in second, third, or fourth grades can start working on basketball skills. Sign up for the Future Vikings Basketball Clinic. Participants will learn basic basketball skills, like dribbling, passing, and shooting. The class meets from 3 to 4 p.m. and runs through October 30th. The fee for the class is $75.

Fifth and sixth graders who want to hone their basketball skills can come for a session just for them from 4 to 5:30 p.m. This class also runs from October 2nd through 30th. The fee is $100. Both basketball clinics meet at Lake Stevens High School main gym.

Teens and preteens who want to learn babysitting skills can come for a class at the North Lake Middle School library. Starting on Wednesday, October 5th and going through November 2nd, the class will cover basic infant care, handling toddler meltdowns, and what to do in an emergency. Kena Masonholder will lead the class, which will meet from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. The fee is just $30. This is a great way for kids of Lake Stevens property owners to learn skills that can translate into a fun after school and weekend job.

It’s a jolly good time on Snohomish real estate September 24, 2016. The 2nd annual Snohomish Tweed Ride rides from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Inspired by London’s Tweed Run, this bicycling extravaganza is a great way to soak up some British culture while soaking up some sunshine at the same time.

The jaunt begins at the Snohomish Carnegie Foundation Library and saunters off down the historic Centennial Trail. Participants will enjoy a spot of tea and sustenance at the Machias Trailhead Park. During this time of repose a bit of sport will take place on this piece of Snohomish real estate. Competitive spirits may indulge in games of badminton and croquet. Memorialize the occasion with plenty of photos and other amusements. Those fancying a light lunch can bring one along and picnic in the shade.

This 18-hole disc golf course is situated on a historic golf course and spreads over 25 acres.
