Support kids from Lake Stevens homes at fundraiser. The Lake Stevens Education Foundation was established in 1993, as a collaboration between parents, teachers, community members, and administrators, to help local schools continue to provide children from Lake Stevens homes with a well-rounded education. Since its founding, the LSEF has coordinated donations from the United Way, matched business contributions, and individual donations from community members. Funds are used for classroom grants, school-wide activities and events, individual scholarships, and tutoring programs. The foundation also started the Academic Beginnings for Children program, to give every child a strong start in school.

On Saturday, March 19th, the LSEF will hold its annual fundraiser. Everyone from Lake Stevens homes is invited to come to the Blue Heron Room at the Waterfront Center, Port of Everett for an evening of good food and fun from 6 to 10 p.m. Enjoy tastings of fine wines, beer, and spirits. Bid generously at the silent auction, and enter to win great raffle prizes. The evening promises to be a night to remember. Tickets are just $50, and all proceeds from the evening go to support the students, teachers, and schools of Lake Stevens.
