The annual Kla Ha Ya Beats 5K and 10k takes to Snohomish property streets. Runners are at the starting gate on July 15th in downtown Snohomish. This one hundred year old tradition brings the community together. Meaning “welcome”, Kla Ha Ya events celebrate summer with the race and annual festival. The course originates at 1st Avenue between Union Street and Avenue A in historic downtown. Participants check in and start lining up around 5 p.m. It’s Ready, set, go time promptly at 6 p.m. Those trekking along receive a run t-shirt and participation medal. Neighbors and friends have a blast cheering runners and walkers from the sidelines.
There is lots of fun happening at the Kla Ha Ya Days Festival from July 12th to the 17th. Everyone loves a parade and there will be plenty to clap for including marching bands and classic cars. The Arts and Crafts Festival finds over 100 vendors presenting their works. Shoppers are delighted with all the unique finds. A carnival is in full swing throughout the festival dates. Rides are thrilling and family friendly at Harvey Field. This Snohomish property is also the site for high flying skydiving demonstrations and Venardos Circus.
