Christmas splendor has arrived at Historic downtown Snohomish property with Sno-Gnome-ish Home For The Holidays 2015, with music, lights, carollers, decorations, Santa Claus and more. Embracing the quaint spirit of the Snohomish community, this year’s festivities will feature Astrid the Sno-Gnome and her adventures through Historic Downtown Snohomish real estate. Inquiring minds can follow Astrid’s movements online through facebook or instagram #astridthechristmasgnome, and is a fun way for families to stay involved locally.
Shops and businesses will be all decked out with many participating in the town’s Holiday Window Display Contest. Come on down and vote for your favorite festive window display. From November 27 through November 29, shoppers can vote for their favorite commercial Snohomish property in three categories: Best use of gnome theme, best vintage attitude, and best overall window. Once your ballot is cast you become eligible to receive a $100 gift debit card. Ballots can be picked up from merchants with window displays. The lucky winner will be chosen in a random drawing and notified by phone or email.
Santa Claus will also be in town, arriving from the North Pole on Saturday, November 28 at 11 a.m. at the Avenue A Gazebo. The big man in the red suit is enthusiastically waiting for the kids, and is more than happy to take free photos with them, so don’t forget the camera. He will be out and about until approximately 5 p.m. If you miss him, don’t worry, Santa will return to downtown Snohomish on weekends in various locations from 12 to 3 p.m. until December 20th. Check with the elves online for his whereabouts.
