The Snohomish River Run is coming to the area near Snohomish real estate. This signature event of the Snohomish Running Company will take place on Sunday, October 15th, 2017. Whether an avid runner and hoping to participate, or a fan that would like to come out and support those running, it is sure to be a fun day. This event is a USA Track and Field certified marathon. Runners can choose from a marathon, half marathon, or 10K run along the beautiful Snohomish River and through Historic Downtown Snohomish. The temperature should be pleasant for a run. Come out for your first racing event, seeking a new personal best, or to qualify for another marathon.
At this point, early reduced pricing and a complimentary race shirt has passed, but there is still time to register. The cost is $85 for the full marathon, $75 for the half marathon, and $50 for the 10K. Finishers will receive a medal, and there will be chip timing. Part of every race entry will go to benefit Girls on the Run Snohomish County. This is a very worthy charity partner, as it aims to empower young girls through running. What a great way to be active and meet new friends.
Those participating in the race can pick up their packets on Friday, October 13th from Super Jock n Jill in Greenlake from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. or Saturday, October 14th from Frost Donut in Mill Creek from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. On race day, the full marathon will start at 7:30 a.m., and the half and 10K will start at 8 a.m in downtown Snohomish.
