Residents of Snohomish properties go to the Buddy Walk.There is a wonderful way for those residing in Snohomish properties to make a difference in their community. The 2017 Snohomish County Buddy Walk® is coming to Snohomish on Saturday, September 30th, 2017. Come on out to Harvey Airfield at 9900 Airport Way from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. for the walk, games, food, and fun. Even if your schedule does not permit coming to this event, find someone who is participating and make a donation, or register as a virtual walker to collect money for this worthy cause.

The Down Syndrome Association of Snohomish County (DSASC) will use the money raised from this event to support many programs that are available to those with Down syndrome and their loved ones. This association works hard to bring people together in settings such as playgroups and activities that include swim parties, spring break events, karaoke dance parties, and many more throughout the year. DSASC is also very committed to education. They bring in quality speakers and also fund a scholarships to conferences. Programs for teens and adults are also a top priority for DSASC.

It is very easy to register for this event, which uses DonorDrive. Sample emails are available to send to friends or family members to tell them about the event and ask for their support. Donations can easily be made online. The team that collects the most in donations will even win a four night stay at a home on the stunning Lake Wenatchee. Raffle tickets are also on sale for $5 each and includes such prizes as golf lessons, sky diving certificates, a Kindle Fire 8 Tablet, a coffee and chocolate basket, and many more.
