Monroe property owners go to the Pops for Pop concert.Celebrate dad with an evening away from your Monroe property attending Pops For Pops. The Monroe Concert Band is putting on a special performance filled with popular music. Take dad back to the days of his youth by hearing hits from the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and others. This event will take place on Saturday, June 16th from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Monroe High School Performing Arts Center. The address is 17001 Tester Road in Monroe. Admission is free, however donations are appreciated. An extra perk of attending this event is that everyone in the audience will get one free ticket for a raffle. Many businesses in the Monroe community have donated prizes for this event. Have the chance to win a gift certificate to a coffee shop, grocery store, or home improvement store. Another lucky person in attendance will walk away with a free gym membership.

The Monroe Concert Band is a wonderful asset to Snohomish County. Established in 2004, the band started with only 12 members. It now consists of about 50 members and includes musicians from Monroe, Stanwood, Sultan, Woodinville, Marysville, Granite Falls, and everywhere in between. Rehearsals take place about once a week, depending on the time of year and upcoming performances. These take place at the Wagner Performing Arts Center in Monroe.
