If you’re thinking about working on your fitness in the new year, there are several exercise classes starting in January near Lake Stevens homes. Choose a favorite activity or learn something new. Co-ed non-competitive volleyball will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 to 9 p.m. at the North Lake Middle School gym. Games start on January 5th and go until March 31st. The cost is $25 to play once a week or $40 to play twice a week. Play co-ed basketball at Lake Stevens Middle School gym on Thursdays from 8 to 9:30 p.m. The cost is $25, and the session goes from January 28th to March 24th.
Winter weather won’t prevent water aerobics classes at the indoor pool at Lake Stevens High School. There are several sessions to choose from, to accommodate schedules for everyone from Lake Stevens homes. Come out Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4 to 5 p.m. or Monday and Wednesday from 8 to 9 p.m. Do deep water aerobics on Saturdays from 9 to 10 a.m. The cost per session for adults is $4; $2.50 for seniors 55 and over; youth or disabled pay $3; and employees pay $1.75.
