Residents living in Monroe believe in helping one another and in having a good time. With the 2nd Annual Wings And Wheels folks can enjoy an awesome car show while benefiting a great cause. The event takes place at the First Air Field from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with all proceeds going to the kids at Special Olympics Washington.
The day promises to bring hours of fun. Live music gets feet tapping and may cause spontaneous dancing in the aisles. Kids living in Monroe can bounce and jump to their heart’s content on inflatable slides and houses. Friends and neighbors over 21 can get caught up or become newly acquainted in the beer garden. Food vendors provide snacks for rumbling tummies and winning raffle tickets equal great prizes.
Of course the real stars of the show are the youngsters participating in Special Olympics Washington. But there will be plenty of automobiles and airplanes on display to admire. Vehicle buffs will ooh and awe over cars, trucks, airplanes, SUVs and motorcycles. Trophies and awards are presented to many participating in the show. Celebrate the end of summer while recognizing the amazing joy Special Olympics creates. A good time awaits families from Monroe homes.
