Explore the beautiful area around your Monroe real estate while getting exercise and supporting a worthy cause by participating in the 8th Annual Sky Valley Classic. Runners can take on a 10K, 5K, or 1 mile race on Saturday, October 29, 2016. The route goes through Monroe, the picturesque Sky Valley, Lewis Park, and Al Borlin Park. All participants can enjoy chip timing, dress up in a costume, and run with a dog or stroller. Feel good about helping to fund youth programs in Snohomish County, as all proceeds from this event will go to that cause.
Early bird registration has passed for this year, but registration is still open at the regular rate of $35 for the 5K or 10K for adults, youth ages 6-15 pay their age for the 10K or 5K, and the price is $10 for all ages for the 1 mile run. Register by mail, online, or at any branch of the YMCA of Snohomish County. Packets will be available for pick up on Thursday, October 27th from 3 pm until 6 pm at the Monroe/Sky Valley YMCA. On race day, the 10K begins at 9 am, the 5K at 9:05 am, and the 1 mile at 9:08 am. There will also be a Kiddie Dash, that will take place after the main event. Even if running is not your favorite past time, all Monroe real estate owners are invited to come cheer on the runners or consider volunteering for this event.
