Rustic decor, vintage style, and upcycled art and furniture are very on trend right now. Picking up a few new items in a new style is a great way to renew the look of Monroe real estate. As we wait for spring to come to our area, a few new things around the house can be a big morale booster. And a great place to go to find shabby chic goods is Pickin at the Barn. The barn is located at 21708 132nd Street SE in Monroe.
This weekend, from Friday, March 15th to Saturday, March 16th, the barn is hosting the Gosh Barn Lucky event. Doors will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You’ll be amazed at the variety and quality of the vendors. You’ll find cool assemblage art pieces, as well as vintage home goods aged to perfection. Some very talented jewelry makers will be there, offering rings, necklaces, and bracelets in eye-catching colors and styles.
Monroe real estate owners looking ahead to planting their gardens will love the plants available to purchase. Find bunches of pussywilows, found items planted with bulbs, and live growth cones, which are great for decorating. Bring home a bouquet of bright flowers to chase winter away. Handmade soy candles are another great way to get more light and warmth into your home.
The barn is also a great place for refreshing your wardrobe for spring. Find colorful hoodies in a variety of prints, as well as snazzy jackets and other clothing.
An event at a barn wouldn’t be complete without farm-fresh produce. Take time to swing by and find fresh eggs. They’re white, brown, and even pastel blue.
There is no entry fee for the event, just grab your best friends and come on out. Because of the weather, parking will be limited, so plan to carpool.
