Classic car enthusiasts that live in Snohomish are in for a treat the end of September. The 2018 Snohomish Classic Car and Hot Rod Display is coming to downtown Snohomish on September 30th. Come on down to take a look at the colorful and beautifully restored classics from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Expect to be able to see around 500 vehicles lining the street. This event brings between 10,000 and 15,000 spectators every year, which is a huge boost to the economy of downtown Snohomish. Grab some lunch or do a little shopping while checking out the vehicles. The cars and trucks will be judged in 25 categories by participants and the public will get to have their say in the winner of People’s Choice and several other fun categories.
Anyone who would like to show off their classic car can register to take part in the event. Those who pre-register can pay a reduced fee of $20 and the chance to park their car at 6:30 a.m. on the day of the event. Anyone who registers on the day of the event will have to pay $25 and not be able to park their car until 7:30 a.m. Register online or mail in the form with payment. Also consider sponsoring this event or signing on as a volunteer. A sponsorship is a great way for business owners who live in Snohomish to get their name out there. Volunteers will be needed to direct entry car traffic, count ballots, clean up the event area, and remove barricades. This could be a really fun way for students to earn community service hours.
