Snohomish property owners go to the library for events.Grab some great books and movies to bring back to your Snohomish property after attending one of the many events going on at the Snohomish Library during the end of May. There are several events that happen every week as well as special events. The calendar is jam packed with opportunities to learn and get to know others who live in the area.

The Tween STEAM Club will meet twice at the end of May on Friday, May 17th, 2019 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday, May 24th from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. This program is for elementary students and middle tweens. The May 17th event will allow participants to use a robotics kit to create an extraterrestrial rover. The May 24th event will be all about rockets. Participants will learn about Newton’s third law of motion and engineer and launch a bottle rocket.

The Snohomish Genealogy Workgroup will meet on Saturday, May 18th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Snohomish Meeting Room. This group meets once a month. Anyone interested in genealogy should drop in. Learn some great tips for researching family history, listen to presentations, and connect with others who share the same interests. Talk about any hurdles you are facing in your research and brainstorm ideas on how to move forward.

Children of all ages are invited to LEGO® Lab on Saturday May 15th, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Participants will be able to build anything they can think of using Roylco straws, K’NEX, LEGO®, and other items. Let your little engineer shine while keeping your Snohomish property clean. Who knows what the little builders will think of and learn next.
