Access to an abundance of water activities is a great reason to make Lake Stevens home. The lake covers more than 1,000 acres and reaches a depth of 150 feet. Residents enjoy fishing, boating, and relaxing on the shoreline. The Lake Stevens Rowing Club provides many opportunities for residents of Lake Stevens real estate to learn how to row. Experienced rowers can also participate in junior crew or a masters program.
There are programs to learn how to row offered year round from 7 to 9 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Each session lasts four weeks and participants come for eight sessions, which usually begin the first Saturday of the month. During the summer, the weekend sessions are available in addition to weekday evening sessions. The last sessions of the summer are starting soon.
A Tuesday/Thursday session will run from August 6th through August 29th. This installment will start each evening at 7 p.m. A Saturday/Sunday session will run from August 10th through September 1st. This one will begin at 7 a.m.
The fee for each learn to row session is $110. This fee includes a Lake Stevens Rowing Club membership for two months. Anyone who would like to participate in a learn to row session will need to pass a float test. These are offered at area pools for a small fee.
If neither of these summer sessions work for you, sign up to learn to row another part of the year. The winter is actually a great time to learn how to row. The water is gorgeous and calm on serene winter mornings. All who call Lake Stevens home are invited to find out more information about these learn to row sessions, view upcoming dates, and also read more about Lake Stevens Rowing Club.
