Kids living in Lake Stevens learn to row crewThe junior crew season is coming soon for youth living in Lake Stevens. Everyone ages 12-18 of any skill level is invited to participate. The only requirements are that participants are at least 5’ tall and are strong enough to carry boats and oars and handle equipment. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the water, get great exercise, and make new friends. Registration is available online right now.

The season dates are June 24th through August 3rd. Practices are held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The cost is $175 with a $15 discount available to those rowers who are returning to the Lake Stevens Rowing Club. A few other dates to put on the calendar are those when there are no practice, July 4th for the holiday, and July 25th for Aquafest.

The pinnacle event is the Green Lake Extravaganza Regatta on August 3rd, 2019. The coach will grant permission for certain rowers to participate. The additional entry fee required will be about $35. This will be a great end to the summer season.

The Lake Stevens Rowing Club offers many opportunities for juniors and adults living in Lake Stevens to learn rowing. The largest lake in Snohomish County is the perfect place to host all of these programs. Participants learn a basic introduction to the sport of rowing and crew, safety on the water, fitness, and conditioning. The Lake Stevens Rowing Club calendar is jam packed with events and practices. There are learn to row classes, practices for the youth racing team, practices for the masters, board meetings, races, and much more.
