The Sno-Isle Library System has a fun summer reading program designed to keep kids and teens who call Lake Stevens home reading and active during the summer. The program is in full swing and there is lots going on. Print off a reading log to record reading times. Children can color in a star for every 20 minutes read and bring it back to the library when it is full of 10 hours of reading. When the full log is brought back to the library, children can choose a free prize book. All reading logs are due by August 31st to redeem a prize.
The Lake Stevens Library will host several events that are part of the Explore Summer program and there will also be programs available at other nearby libraries. Children who are interested in outer space can come for Explore Summer: Journey to the Moon. This event will take place on Saturday, July 13th, 2019 from 10 to 11 a.m. Those ages 10 and up are invited to the Lake Stevens Educational Service with supervision to learn about space missions of the 1960’s.
