Get some great ideas for landscaping for your Snohomish property and support the beautification of downtown by going on the Snohomish Garden Tour. This event will take place on Sunday, June 30th, 2019 from noon to 5 p.m. Travel around the area viewing private gardens. Ticket holders can view the gardens in any order and it is a self-guided tour. View gardens in the city as well as six rural gardens. Please be courteous to homeowners and do not ask to use their facilities. The program included with tickets will list nearby restrooms.
Get your tickets at a discount from the Snohomish Garden Club’s website. They are $12 each on the site. Purchase them for $15 at Sunnyside Nursery in Marysville, Molback’s in Woodinville, McAuliffe’s Valley Nursery, or McDaniel’s Do It Center. Tickets will also be available on the day of the event at the Snohomish Senior Center, located at 506 4th Street, and at McDaniel’s Do It Center. The proceeds of this event will benefit the First Avenue hanging flower baskets to adorn downtown.
While viewing the gardens, appreciating nature’s beauty, and getting ideas for your own Snohomish property, also enjoy a musician and artists. Members of The Roaming Artists of Camano Island will be hard at work in the gardens. The artists enjoy traveling around and finding inspiration from the outdoors. Some artwork will also be available for purchase. At garden number six, take a little time to enjoy live music from Javier Anderson. He is a Seattle based artist who is a singer, guitarist, songwriter, and recording artist and will be performing from 1 to 4 p.m. Bring a notebook and a pen to jot down some ideas for your yard, as well as snacks and water. It is sure to be a pleasant afternoon full of inspiration.
