Lake Stevens property owners take community classes.The Lake Stevens Community Education program is offering many great classes in February to those living in a Lake Stevens property or in nearby areas. The Winter 2020 class guide is out and packed with stuff to do as you await spring. Some classes and programs are already in full swing, some will be starting in February, and some will be starting in the coming months. Be sure to register soon to get a spot if something catches your eye.

Create beautiful chalkboard art with local artist Jessica Mohy of Happy Heart Design Co. Everyone will get tips and tricks for creating some really cool art and also get to take their chalkboard home. The class will take place on Thursday, February 20th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in ESC Conference Room A. The class can only accommodate 15 people and there is a class fee of $25 and a supply fee of $10 required to participate.

There are also sessions of many kids activities starting up. Strategic Chess for Grades 1-5 will have sessions starting on 2/18, 2/19, 2/20, and 2/21. LEGOⓇ Ninjas: The World of NinjagoⓇ for grades 1-5 will have sessions starting on the same dates as chess, and Strategic Origami: Airplanes and Aerodynamics for Grades 1-5 will have sessions starting on 2/18, 2/19, and 2/20. These are nice enrichment activities for kids after school before returning home to their Lake Stevens property.

In addition to these, there are also youth dance classes with sessions starting in February. Beginning Ballet and Teen Hip-Hop will have a session from 2/24 to 3/23.
