The Lake Stevens School District and the City of Lake Stevens have many offerings to keep children busy, enriched, and off exploring the area near their Lake Stevens property this summer. From sports to gardening to art, there is something for every interest. Art Your Way with Jody Cain will instruct children in creating fine pieces of art from traditional materials and also salvaged and recycled items. This fun camp will take place July 24th through July 27th with grades 1-3 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. and grades 4-6 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Two sessions of Lawns to Lettuce will be available for those 13 and older to learn how to transform part of their Lake Stevens property into an area for growing food. Choose from June 10th or 24th from 12 to 2 p.m.
Those looking for sports camps have many to pick from. Students going into grades 5-8 can learn how to paddle board this summer at Lundeen Park during one of four available sessions. Others looking for a well rounded dose of fitness and fun can check out Camp Davis, Active, Sports and Wellness Camp. Participants will have the chance to try activities such as golf, basketball, hockey, soccer, pickleball, orienteering, and much more. Students in grades 1-5 can sign up for this camp and have a few options for available sessions. Other sports camps offered this summer are volleyball, basketball, baseball, football, softball, and tennis.
