The Lake Stevens Library has much to offer to people of all ages living in Lake Stevens. The middle of October is full of events for children, tweens, and adults. Toddlers ages 18 months through 3 years are invited with their caregiver for Storytime on Tuesday the 17th from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Toddlers will be engaged in wonderful stories and movements that help nurture their desire to read. All are invited to stick around for playtime or a craft. Babies have their turn for Storytime on the same day from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Caregivers and babies ages 0 through 18 months can hear rhymes, stories, and songs. Let everyone get their wiggles out by sticking around for playtime afterward. Preschoolers ages 3-5 have Storytime on Thursday, October 19th from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Children will get excited about reading with creative activities.
Tweens ages 9 through 13 (grades 4th through 8th) can consider registering for a STEM (science, tech, engineering, math) event on Friday, October 20th from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Teams will work together to build a unique part that will have to work with the parts of other teams participating in this event. The goal is to become a balloon block master and reach Mars. This is a great opportunity for tweens living in Lake Stevens to make new friends with others who have similar interests.
